My
fourth grade teacher gave us beads for
extra credit on our exams. Around fourteen years later, I was selling
in boutiques and galleries. Due to the complexity of my bead work, it
takes very long to complete.
I've always liked white metals, so when I saw silversmithing classes at the BCAE, I jumped at the chance. I've taken a couple at the BCAE and CCAE. I typically let a gem dictate how I will make a setting, as opposed to using the gem as an enhancement to my silver work. Copyright Julie Chen 2009 All Rights Reserved |
